Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 HUNTINGDON, Ala. -- The Methodist volleyball team defeated LaGrange, 3-1, and Huntingdon, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon to even its record at 11-11 on the season.
 
Against LaGrange, the Monarchs dropped the first set, 25-18, before winning the next three, 25-17, 25-19, 25-13, to post the 3-1 win. In the sweep of the Hawks, MU cruised to a 25-17, 25-21, 27-25 sweep. Methodist has now won 7-of-9 after starting the season 4-9.
 
In the win over LC, Allison Graves led the offense with 15 kills, and Emily Krochmal and Risa Smith chipped in 14 apiece. Smith posted a hitting percentage of .414 with just two errors in 29 attempts. Graves also led the defense, notching 20 digs, and Karly Klimas added 16, Krochmal 15, and Ryanne Greer contributed 10.
 
Emily Hester had a team-best 26 assists and Smith added 20. Greer chipped in five service aces.
 
Sterling Ancrum, Sydney Marshall and Hayley LaFontaine each had eight kills for LaGrange. Ella Weymiller had 23 digs and Delaney James and Aspen Coggins had 15 and 10 assists respectively.
 
Against the Hawks, Graves led the way once again with 14 kills and 17 digs. Krochmal contributed 13 kills and a team-best 18 digs. Klimas had 10 digs and Smith and Hester had 16 and 15 assists respectively.
 
Lexi Rangel and Kalen Morgan each had seven kills to lead Huntingdon and Lauren Conden recorded 22 digs.
 
Methodist is back on the court on Wednesday when is hosts Ferrum at 7:00 pm.
