Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Emliy Krochmal posted 22 kills and hit .556 in leading the Methodist volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Ferrum College on Wednesday evening at the Riddle Center.

Krochmal's 22 kills were a career-high and came on 36 attempts with only two errors. She also added seven digs, three service aces, and a pair of blocks. As a team, MU hit a season-best .327, committing just 16 errors on 101 attempts.
Methodist held Ferrum to a -.038 hitting percentage, forcing 31 errors to just 27 kills for the Panthers (2-17, 1-12)

After suffering a 25-19 setback in the first set, Methodist (12-11, 7-4 USA South) recovered to win the next three sets handily in posting its eighth win in the last 10 matches. The Monarchs cruised to a 25-10 win in the second set and followed that with a 25-14 win in set three and a 25-17 victory in the fourth.

In addition to Krochmal,
Allison Graves added 11 kills and
Risa Smith chipped in 10 with a .444 hitting percentage.
Karly Klimas posted a team-high 10 digs to lead the defense and Smith added eight.
Emily Hester racked up 23 assists and Smith contributed 18.

The Panthers were led by Ebony Crawford and Rachel Stratton, who posted seven kills apiece. Jessica Turner turned in a match-high 16 digs and Emily Danner had 22 assists. Kellee Lewis had four service aces.

The Monarchs are back in action on Saturday with a pair of matches at Piedmont. Methodist will square off against Meredith at 2:00 pm followed by a 4:00 pm contest against the host Lions.
