Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 DEMOREST, Ga. – The Methodist volleyball team fell to Meredith, 3-1, and Piedmont, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at Piedmont College.

The Monarchs (12-13, 7-6 USA South) fell to the Avenging Angels (17-6, 11-1) 25-19, 25-15, 19-25, 25-14, before dropping a 27-25, 25-19, 25-21 decision to the host Lions (22-4, 8-3).

In the loss to Meredith, Emily Krochmal posted a double-double with 19 kills and 21 digs to lead MU. Allison Graves added 17 kills with 15 digs and Risa Smith chipped in 10 kills to go with 18 assists. Emily Hester recorded 19 assists.

Karlie Long led the Avenging Angels with 19 kills and added nine digs. Molly Markley added 13 kills, and Anna Hayes and Emery McGee posted 11 digs apiece, while Hayes and Clarke Glendenning contributed 22 and 19 assists, respectively.

In the loss to Piedmont, the Lions limited Krochmal and Smith to 11 kills apiece. Krochmal also had a team-high 11 digs and Graves added 10.
Hester contributed 18 assists and Smith added 10 helpers.

Jackie Campbell led a balanced Piedmont offense with 12 kils. Kaitlin Norman, Katelyn Dobbs, and Taylor Cramsey each had six kills. Katie Faith recorded 14 digs, while Katheryn Knarr had 17 assists and Xandy Green posted 11 assists.

Methodist is back in action on Tuesday when it hosts William Peace at 7:00 pm.
