Box Score DANVILLE, Va. -- The Methodist volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Averett on Tuesday evening. The Cougars (15-6, 9-1 USA South) swept MU (9-11, 4-4 USA South) 25-21, 25-22, 25-20.
 
Emily Krochmal led Methodist's offense with nine kills and Brittany Lewis chipped in six kills. Allison Graves, the reigning USA South Player of the Week, was limited to five kills. Risa Smith posted 10 assists and Emily Hester added seven.
 
Smith also posted a team-high 15 digs, Karly Klimas added 12 and Graves totaled 10 digs to go with three blocks.
 
Allison Sparks and Megan Sawyer paced Averett with 18 and 14 kills, respectively. Nicole Barringer had 35 assists and 10 digs, Sparks added 14 and Katelyn Holley totaled 11 in the win.
