Box Score 2 STAUNTON, Va. -- The Methodist volleyball team won a pair of matches in its regular season finale on Saturday afternoon at Mary Baldwin College.

The Monarchs (14-17, 9-10 USA South) defeated host Mary Baldwin, 25-18, 25-19, 25-16, to snap a seven-game skid, then knocked off Greensboro, 25-18, 25-19, 15-25, 25-22.

In the win over Mary Baldwin (0-28, 0-18 USA SOUTH),
Allison Graves led MU with a double-double of 16 kills and 12 digs, both match-highs.
Emily Krochmal had a double-double of 10 kills and 11 digs and she added a pair of solo blocks as well.
Risa Smith dished out 19 assists and
Emily Hester added 13, while
Karly Klimas had 11 digs. Hester also registered a team-best three service aces.

Katelyn Rice led MBC with nine kills and six digs. Reilly Kelly added six digs and Sara Valdivieso ran the offense and totaled 15 assists.

Graves led the Monarchs to a 3-1 win over the Pride, posting a career-high-tying 26 kills with a .352 hitting percentage and notching 13 digs. It was the sixth time this season that she reached the 20-kill plateau.
Latina Bailey added 12 kills and hit .435 as MU posted a collective hitting percentage of .322. Krochmal had 11 kills and 17 digs, and Smith came up with 11 digs and a team-high 29 assists. Hester had 20 assists and Klimas and
Ryanne Greer posted 16 and 10 digs, respectively.

Megan Baranko had 14 kills to lead GC. Li Widenhouse had 12 kills and six digs. Holly Anders and Cortland Phillips contributed 16 and 12 digs, respectively.

The Monarchs are back in action on Friday in the quarterfinals of the USA South Tournament when they take on Averett at 5:00 pm.
