HOLLINS, Va. -- The Methodist volleyball team fell to Emory & Henry, 3-1, and Virginia Intermont, 3-1, on the final day of the Hollins Green Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Monarchs (3-5) won the opening set against E&H, 25-23, before dropping the next three, 25-21, 25-19, 25-13. Against Virginia Intermont MU lost 27-25,  25-22, 22-25, 25-17.
 
Against E&H, Allison Graves led the Monarchs with 16 kills and 13 digs. Emily Krochmal netted a double-double as well, contributing 11 kills and 11 digs. Risa Smith had 31 assists and Karly Klimas and Ryanne Greer contributed 13 and 12 digs, respectively.
 
Stats for the match against Virginia Intermont were not available.
 
The Monarchs are back in action on Saturday when they play at Mary Washington beginning at 4:00 pm.
