Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - No. 15-ranked Ferrum won against the Methodist women's basketball team, 58-46, on Saturday afternoon at the Riddle Center.
Tied 25-25 at intermission, the second-half action swung decidedly in Ferrum's (22-2, 16-2 USA South) favor. Overall the Panthers shot 54.5 percent in the second period (12-22), which included four three-pointers. Meanwhile Ferrum held the Monarchs (14-10, 10-8 USA South) to an 8-of-27 performance from the field (.296) in the game's final 20 minutes.
Sydney Bryan led Methodist with 12 points and also had seven rebounds.
Jackie Lyles totaled seven points and seven rebounds.
Jacole Hairston paced Ferrum with a game-high 15 points, and Kemani Crawford had an even 10 points. Boreika Burwell finished with eight points, seven rebounds and three assists, and Shea Smith chipped in eight points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals.
The Monarchs close out their regular-season schedule with a home game against Mary Baldwin tomorrow with tipoff set for 1:00 pm.
