Box Score RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Methodist volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Meredith on Tuesday evening in Weatherspoon Gym.

The Monarchs fell 25-19, 25-20, 25-23 as the Avenging Angels (7-4, 1-0 USA South) posted a team hitting percentage of .295 while MU (4-7, 0-1 USA South) hit just .113 (36-24-106) as a team.

Cassidy Hayes led the Monarchs with 10 kills on 21 attempts and added four service aces.
Chyenne Pump contributed nine kills and two service aces, and
Ryann Appleby had eight kills and four solo blocks.

Maggie Harris posted 32 assists and eight digs, while
Karly Klimas led the defense with 13 digs. Pump chipped in 10 digs.

For the Avenging Angels, Karlie Long led the way with 18 kills on 30 attempts for a .467 hitting percentage. She added 11 digs, two service aces and two blocks. Emily Hendricks, Elizabeth Pattison, and Anna Huff had five kills apiece.

Hannah Blaylock had 34 assists and four of Meredith's eight service aces. Keegan Lynch had eight digs, and Blaylock and Emery McGee each had six digs.

Methodist is back in action on Saturday when it hosts Ferrum at 10:00 am.
