BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Methodist men's soccer team remained unbeaten in 2015 with a 1-1 (2OT) draw at Geneva College on Saturday night.

The Monarchs rallied from a 1-0 deficit to move to 2-0-1 on the season and the Tornados now stand at 2-0-1, as well.

Jonathan Shoaf gave Geneva a 1-0 edge early in the contest, scoring off a feed from Alexander Rosenbaum at the 11:56 mark.

In the second half,
Eirik Nordseth scored the equalizer on a penalty kick at the 83:03 mark as MU pulled even at 1-1.

Despite outshooting GC 7-0 in extra time, the Monarchs were unable to score on starting goalkeeper Luke Nolan, forcing the eventual 1-1 tie. Overall, Methodist outshot Geneva 22-8 with nine shots on goal to the Tornado's three. Nolan proved solid in goal, making eight saves on the night, allowing one goal. For Methodist,
Alex Rabone saw all 110 minutes and was forced to make just two saves, allowing one goal.

MU continues on the road and will travel to Norfolk, Va. to take on host Virginia Wesleyan College on September 9 at 7 p.m.
