Amanda Hayes sent a left-footed shot into the upper 90 of the net to propel the Monarchs to the 1-0 victory.

Methodist proved to have a stronger game offensively, outshooting the Seahawks (0-2) 16-8 overall and 12-2 in shots on frame. Â In goal,
Taylor Ross (2-0) earned the win after making two saves. Despite making a career-high 11 saves, Katie Flores (0-1) was given the loss after allowing one goal.
