FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- N.C. Wesleyan earned a 3-0 win over Methodist in a USA South volleyball match on Tuesday evening at the Riddle Center.

The Battling Bishops improved to 10-14 overall and 7-5 in the USA South with the 25-17, 25-15, 25-16 win. The Monarchs slipped to 7-18 overall and 3-7 in league play.

Methodist was led offensively by
Cassidy Hayes' nine kills on 17 attempts which amounted to a .529 hitting percentage.
Chyenne Pump added seven kills, and
Maggie Harris passed out 23 assists on the night.
Annabelle Ronelli led MU with 15 digs, Harris had seven and Pump chipped in six. Hayes and Harris each had three blocks as well.

Three different Bishops recorded at least 10 kills and hit over .350. Tori Stewart had 12 kills (.370), Autumn Spence added 11 (.381) and Emily McLain chipped in 10 (.364). Samantha Morton had seven kills. Ayla Brewer led the way with 38 assists, while Christina Huber led all players with 22 digs. Evie Hunter chipped in six kills, three aces and nine digs.

The Monarchs are back in action on Thursday at Greensboro beginning at 7:00 pm.
