FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The Methodist volleyball team split a pair of matches as it hosted a USA South Quad-Match in the Riddle Center on Saturday.

Prior to the final match of the day, the volleyball program honored its three seniors.

The Monarchs (14-11, 6-7 USA South) started off with a 3-0 win against Mary Baldwin (0-27, 0-12) winning 25-10, 25-6, 25-5. Later in the day, MU fell to Greensboro (13-11, 6-7) 25-23, 25-23, 25-22. N.C. Wesleyan also played in the quad-match, but did not face Methodist.

Against Mary Baldwin,
Cassidy Hayes hit .778 and racked up seven kills to go with five service aces.
Megan Andrews finished with six kills and three digs, while
Brittany Ter Meer tallied three total blocks with four kills and hit .333.
Lili Henry paced the Monarchs with 15 assists as
Maggie Harris added 12.
Alyssa Coffey totaled eight digs, while
Annabelle Ronelli registered seven. MU finished the match with a .407 hitting percentage and held the Fighting Squirrels to just three kills.

Ashley Beardsley led the Monarchs with 12 kills and hit .371 against the Pride, while Ter Meer and Hayes each added eight kills. Harris attributed 36 assists and 11 digs, while Ronelli picked up 11 digs.

For GC, Emily Horn finished with a game-high 17 kills and hit at a .452 clip. She also added 14 digs Danyale Berry chipped in nine kills in the win. Katie Clark pitched in 26 assists, while Briley Hale-Jarrell added 10. Defensively, Tori Belcher collected 14 digs, while Berry and Evan Sherer each finished with four total blocks.

Methodist returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 24 as it travels to face N.C. Wesleyan.
