FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- After leading Methodist to a victory on Wednesday night,
Bryan Rouse has been named the USA South Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Â
A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Rouse finished with a game-high 28 points in a 99-79 win against conference rival Greensboro. He also tallied five assists and four steals, which were also game highs, and collected seven rebounds and a block. The 28-point performance is a career-best for Rouse as a Monarch.
Â
On the season, Rouse ranks fifth in the conference with 19.3 points per game and has scored at least 20 points in a contest four times so far this season.
Â
This is the second consecutive week a Monarch has earned weekly accolades from the league as
Jackson Whitley claimed Player of the Week honors for last week's performance.
Â
Methodist is idle for the holidays and returns to action on Jan. 3, at N.C. Wesleyan beginning at 7:30 pm.
