- Taking a 6-2 lead into the bottom of the seventh, the Monarchs tallied another three runs to safeguard the victory. Carter drove in two runs with his stand-up triple and he scored on the next at-bat after a passed ball.
- After leading off the game with two consecutive hits, Maryville was held to three hits over the final eight innings.
- In the eighth, the Monarchs scored two runs from their bases loaded situation after leaving three runners stranded without a run earlier in the game.
- In two different situations, the Scots were only able to score one run in the inning after having the bases loaded. In the first and seventh, Maryville left three runners stranded each time.
