FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist made quick work of visiting Pfeiffer University Tuesday afternoon in a USA South Athletic Conference women's tennis match, downing the Falcons, 9-0, in just two hours.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Monarchs surrendered just two games during their sweep of the doubles matches.
- Pfeiffer was unable to field a third duo so Ashton Walker and Bri Rado won at 3-doubles by forfeit.
- The No. 2 tandem of Allison Himes and Sydni Lewis posted a shutout for the second point, followed soon after by the third point from the No. 1 teaming of Taylor Jackson and Jill Lawrence. The 1s defeated Pfeiffer's Sydney Gray and Darby Sherrill by a score of 8-2.
- With Rado earning a forfeit win at 6-singles, the rest of the scoring was just as dominant for Methodist in singles action.
- Walker won at No. 1, 6-0 and 6-0, with Himes surrendering just two game, love and 2, in her win at No. 2.
- Abby Caddick at No. 4 matched Himes' numbers in her own victory, and Jessica Tucker added a 3 and 1 win for Methodist at 5-singles.
- Jackson battled with Pfeiffer's Charlotte Craven at No. 3, outlasting her Falcon opponent, 7-5, in the first set before rolling to a 6-1 win in the second.
