Ashton Walker and
Allison Himes enjoyed the celebration of senior day Saturday afternoon at the Gene Clayton Tennis Center, as each went unbeaten in their singles and doubles matches during Methodist's 9-0 USA South Athletic Conference women's tennis victory over visiting Greensboro College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Himes paired with Bri Rado at the No. 2 doubles spot for an 8-1 win that provided the Monarchs with their second point of the day. And Walker teamed with Abby Caddick at 1-doubles for an identical 8-1 victory, pushing Methodist to a sweep of doubles action.
- Rado picked up the fourth point with a 6-0, 6-0 win at 4-singles, followed by the clinching point at No. 3 by Himes, who downed Haley Griffen 0 and 1.
- Later in the match Walker completed her afternoon with a 7-5, 6-0 victory at 1-singles over Greensboro's Anna Rae Porcelli.

- Walker, from Pikeville, N.C., is 61-21 for her career in singles play, which is 11th in school history with four weeks remaining in the season.
- Her career record including Saturday's singles and doubles victories is a stellar 105-36 (.745).
- She is a three-time USA South all-conference selection and was the 2017 USA South postseason tournament MVP.
- Walker, a team captain, has been a member of three USA South regular-season championship teams, and helped capture two USA South tournament championships, earning the leagues bid into the NCAA Division III tournament.
- Himes, from Fishers, Indiana, is a junior by eligibility but will graduate in December 2019.
- A three-year starter for the Monarchs Himes has compiled a 35-12 (.745) singles record in her career, and Saturday's triumphs push her overall record to 52-22 (.703).
- A part of two USA South regular season champ squads, Himes also played on one of the team's league tournament championship teams and in the NCAA tournament.
- Majoring in business administration within the Professional Tennis Management curriculum, Himes has achieved a 3.89 cumulative GPA.
