SPARTANBURG, S.C. Methodist's women's tennis team took to the road for Sunday's non-conference match at Spartanburg Methodist College, and will make the return trip with an 8-1 victory over the Pioneers in their pocket.
The Monarchs' sweep of doubles action was so dominant that the three doubles pairings surrendered just one game in nearly pulling off a complete shutout.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Allison Himes and Abby Siracusa rolled to an 8-0 win at 1-doubles for Methodist's initial point of the day.
- The second point came at No. 2 where Bri Rado and Sydni Lewis won 8-1, followed by a shutout victory at No. 3 by Jessica Tucker and Allyson Hays.
- Siracusa notched the fourth point with her 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles, and Tucker added the match-clinching point with an identical straight-set shutout at 1-singles.
