FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist women's lacrosse coach
Rebecca Sheinfeld earned her first USA South Athletic Conference win in emphatic fashion with an 18-2 drubbing over visiting Huntingdon College Sunday afternoon.
Six different Monarchs scored at least two goals and three different players finished with five points in the game.
Sarah Ewin and
Sydney Bonner led with four goals each and Ewin (one assist),
Kaelyn Holland (three goals and an assist), and Lindsey Brennan (two goals and three assists) were the trio with five points.
Methodist had the advantage in nearly every statistic, which helps explain the lopsided victory. The Monarchs did better in shots taken (29 to 11), draw controls (16 to six), ground balls (21 to 11), turnovers (17 to 26), and free position goals (four to one).
