Women’s LAX Storms to Victory over Tornados

BREVARD, N.C.  As the USA South Athletic Conference tournament looms, Methodist women's lacrosse delivered a much-needed victory with a 17-3 rout over host and conference foe Brevard College Saturday evening.

Only the top-six eligible teams in the conference qualify for the conference tournament. Methodist is currently seventh with the head-to-head win over the eighth-place team and matchups against the No. 5 (Greensboro College) and No. 6 (N.C. Wesleyan) teams in the league standings still remaining.

Methodist never trailed Saturday, taking a 5-0 lead before Brevard scored its first point. Kaelyn Holland and Lily Eisenhart both set a new season-high with five goals each. Joining the quintuple club was Lindsay Brennan and her five assists, as well as Sarah Ewin with five points (three goals and two assists).
