WASHINGTON, Pa. Methodist closed out a two-night northern road trip Thursday evening with a 15-8 non-conference men's lacrosse victory over host Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) College.
The win piggybacks on Wednesday's 21-9 triumph in Cincinnati over Mount St. Joseph University, and stretched the Monarchs' current win streak to four.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Monarchs shot out of the box quickly against the President's, scoring the opening two goals and answering a W&J goal with two more for a 4-1 advantage before five minutes had elapsed.
- W&J came back to tie the game at 4-4, but Methodist scored six of the next seven goals to take control of the contest.
- The opening salvo began with Matt Pemberton's 18th goal of the season, followed soon after by a score from Carter Favreau. Pemberton answered the W&J goal to make the score 3-1, and Connor Glenn made it 4-1, cashing in on an assist from Bryce Kephart.
- Other than W&J's first quarter three-goal splurge, the Monarchs never allowed consecutive President's goals the rest of the way.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Chatt, with three goals and two assists, was one of three Monarchs to record a five-point night, joined by Kephart (3G, 1A) and Glenn (1G, 4A).
- Favreau and Pemberton finished with identical numbers -- 3 goals and 1 assist.
- Faceoff specialist Nick Lemieux was 11-for-22 on the night and tied Chatt as the team leader in ground-ball pickups with 5.
- Clay Stevenson had a solid night in goal for the Monarchs, coming up with 16 saves.
- W&J was picked to finish fifth in the President's Athletic Conference men's lacrosse preseason poll.
