WESTMINSTER, Md. Methodist women's basketball drop their first game of the Rebecca Martin Memorial Tip-Off Tournament 53-39 against host McDaniel College Friday night in non-conference action at the Gill Center.
Coming off the bench was
Jessica Drake, who paced all Monarch scorers with eight points in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter was tightly contest, as neither team would go more than two buckets ahead of each other. The Green Terror got the scoring started with the first four points.
- Methodist would eventually take their first lead of the game after a made jumper by Kiley Hicks put them up 7-6. McDaniel got the better of the Monarchs as they took an 11-8 advantage heading into the second quarter.
- The second quarter saw Methodist make consecutive baskets by Trinity Ross and Aniyah Tate to give them back a one lead. Late in the frame, the Green Terror used a 6-0 run to start separating themselves from the Monarchs, which in turn led to a 25-19 half time score.
- In the first minute and half into the second half, McDaniel scored the first six points to take a double-digit lead over Methodist for the first in the game. Melissa D'Oleo stopped the Monarch scoring drought when she knock down a three to make it 31-22.
- The Green Terror put the game more out of reach with another 6-0 run that spanned from the end of the third and into the fourth quarter. The closest Methodist got to the lead was 10 points, after a pair of made free throws by Hicks and a three by Drake made the score 47-37.

- Leading all scorers in the game was Ellie Glass of McDaniel with 13, the only player to reach double-digit points.
- Majority of the Green Terror's scoring came from the paint and second chance points, 20 and 11 respectively. Where the Monarchs only got six in the paint and four off second chances.
- As a team, McDaniel had 17 steals while forcing 23 Methodist turnovers that lead to 19 Green Terror points.
