FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Kadie Snipes tied her career-high with 20 points and the Monarchs scored 80 points for the first time since 2017, but visiting William Peace grabbed the win, 105-80, in USA South Athletic Conference women's basketball action Sunday afternoon.
Two days after scoring 60 points for the first time this season, the Monarchs one-upped themselves with 80 points in Sunday's game. That total is the most the Monarchs have scored in a game since December of the 2017-18 season. Methodist also set new season-highs in field goals made (29), free throws made (20), three-pointers made (nine), and assists (19), as well as field goal percentage (.481) and three-point percentage (.400).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Snipes had 15 of her 20 points in the second half, including all four of her treys as Methodist shot 59 percent from the field in the second half to nearly match bucket-for-bucket with William Peace.
- The Pacers scored 53 in the last half, compared to 49 by the Monarchs.
- To open the fourth quarter, Snipes connected on consecutive 3s back-to-back-to-back. Her first made 3 came in the third quarter after she forced a Pacers' turnover. LeTrice Pearson added to the sharpshooting with a pair of 3's in the third frame.
- The Monarchs went toe-to-toe with William Peace early before the Pacers used a 26-12 second quarter to take control. William Peace ended the half on a 9-0 run which ballooned a 43-31 lead to a 52-31 advantage. That run was part of a larger 20-4 run over the last seven minutes.
GAME NOTES
- The 20 points, six field goals made, four assists, and four three-pointers were all season-highs for Snipes. She finished 6-of-8 from the floor and 4-of-6 from 3-point land.
- In addition to Snipes, Aniyah Tate (13 points), Jazanae Billings (11), Tyzarea Alexander (10), and Pearson (10) all scored in the double-digits for Methodist. Tate's six rebounds led the team.
- Turnovers and fastbreak points were the difference in the game as the Pacers had a 35-14 advantage in points off turnovers and a 34-16 edge in fastbreak points. William Peace was able to score in transition often following a turnover.
- Lauryn Cross and Cierra Baker combined to score 45 points for the Pacers.
