FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist men's basketball rocked the March F. Riddle Center, on Thursday night, ending their home season on a high note with an 84-82 win over Pfeiffer University after
Clayton Coe sunk a three ball in the last second of the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams started off tip for tap, keeping the game close off the jump. The Monarchs gained some lead way over the Falcons and went up by six after Dante Burden found Coe open on the wing for a three, six minutes into the first half.
- Pfeiffer did not fall far behind and tied the game at 23 all after securing an offensive rebound and the put back. The Falcons took the lead for just over a minute and a half before Methodist went on a 12-0 run in a two-minute span. Seconds before half-time, Pfeiffer knocked down a three to make it 45-43, Monarchs.
- Methodist kept pushing in the second half as the Falcons trailed behind by only a basket or two. With nine minutes to go in the game, Burden dropped in two free throws to keep a one-point advantage. Within the final three minutes of the game, both teams had reached the bonus as Methodist went five for six to Pfeiffer's six for six from the line. The Monarchs were down by one with 28 seconds left in the game. After a failed shot attempt from Kevin McLaughlin Jr., Burden secured the offensive rebound and dished it back out to Coe for his second game winning three this season in the last two seconds.

- Burden ended his senior night with 37 points, shooting a season high 11-12 from the line, followed by Coe with 17 and McLaughlin Jr. with 13.
- Both teams shot well in the game as they each side shot over 44%. Pfeiffer made 26 baskets on 59 attempts (44.1%) while Methodist connected on 30 of their 59 shots (50.8%).
