FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist was unable to get its attack in gear Saturday afternoon, dropping a 18-7 non-conference at Monarch Stadium.
Payton Jones netted four goals for Methodist, her second four goal game this season, but those four goals were not enough to give the Monarchs any leverage.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Randolph-Macon started the game on a hot streak, scoring seven unanswered goals in the first quarter.
- Mid-way through the second quarter, Mikayla Ramos and Jones put the team on their backs during a two-minute span to score three straight goals for the Monarchs. Ramos scored her first goal off a free position shot and the second goal from an assist by Jones. Jones scored after winning the draw control to tally her first goal of the game.
- By the final 15 minutes of play, the yellow jackets had extended the lead to 10. Jones scored the final goal of the game, but the Monarchs were unable to get the momentum rolling to close the gap and ran out of time in the end.
