FERRUM, Va. Methodist's men's tennis team collects its first sweep of the spring season by defeating non-conference foe Ferrum College 9-0 on Friday afternoon at the Burrows-Skeens Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- All three doubles flights ended with the same 8-2 final scores to start off the match. Brent Edwards would win his match-up with set scores of 6-4 & 6-2 against Jacob Glass.
- During number 3 & 5 singles, Bridger Warlick and Samir Tewari each won with set scores of 6-0 and 6-1, respectively over William Davis and Nico Roth. James Hu had the only clean sweep in the No. 6 flights by going 6-0 in both sets against Aukeim Mitchell.
- Making his Monarch debut was Evan Kane, as he beat Kevin Nester in the No. singles. Kane won the first set 6-2 before claiming the flight with a 6-3 second set.
- The most interesting singles match-up of the afternoon was with the No. 1s. Spencer Kieft was pitted against Patrick Marsh, where March won the only set for the Panthers, 6-2, before Kieft came back to win 6-4 in the second set to force a super tiebreaker and winning 10-3.
