FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist could not keep up with the Falcons offense on Wednesday afternoon, dropping a 21-5 non-conference game against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls at Monarch Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Methodist won the initial draw to start the game, but Wisconsin-River Falls quickly made strong moves on offense. The Falcons scored their first goal within the first minute of play before winning the next two draw controls to score back-to-back goals.
- After being down 3-0, the Monarchs' Tia Marlinghaus found Alaijah Ward to tact on Methodist's first point. A little over a minute later, Jem Golombeski saved a Falcon shot which led to a successful clear for the Monarchs and a goal from Kayla Nee (assist from Ward), to make it 3-2 Wisconsin-River Falls.
- Methodist scored three more goals in the first half, two from Payton Jones and one from Ward, closing the half, down 14-5.
- The Monarchs struggled throughout the second half to possess the ball, resulting in limited shots and a scoreless half. The Falcons went on the score seven more goals to end the game.
