FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist men's tennis began USA South Athletic Conference action on Saturday with a trip to Mary Baldwin University. The Monarchs were able to defeat the Fighting Squirrels 9-0 at MBU Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- It started with the Monarchs winning all three doubles matches with the closest flight coming from Denis Lytnev & Royce South beating Rene Ramirez & Joe Bottom 8-4.
- Jaben Hardin, Evan Kane, and Will Trocchi all easily won in straight sets to put Methodist in front 6-0.
- Bridger Warlick defeated his counterpart Austin Garza with identical set scores of 6-2. Almost posting the same scores was Spencer Kieft, who beat Eric Leyton 6-2, 6-1.
- Securing the 9-0 sweep was Brent Edwards after taking down Connor Lindhjem 6-2 and then 6-0 in the No. 2 singles.

- Methodist will on the road for their next three matches starting with an USA South match-up with Southern Virginia University on March 26th at 11 a.m.
- Mary Baldwin stays at home and will play the University of Lynchburg on March 25th at 2 p.m.
