Records: Methodist 12-6 (2-1 USA South), William Peace 11-9 (1-2)
Locations: Armstrong-Shelley Field; Fayetteville, North Carolina
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pacers looked to be teeing off the Monarchs starter, Ryan Hill, in the second as three straight hits filled the bases. Hill got himself out of trouble with minimal damage by only allowing one run to score off a sac fly.
- Methodist would tie it up in the third when Stancil Bowles hit a single into no man's land in the outfield to drive in the runner at third base. Later, Will Dagenhart and Hunter Hollman each brought in one run to put the Monarchs ahead 3-1 in the inning.
- William Peace got back to within one, 3-2, in the top half of the fifth but then by the end of the sixth inning Methodist doubled their run total for a 6-2 ball game.
- The seventh inning was a special moment for senior Gavin Wheeler, as connected with a pitch that was sent over the left field fence. This was Wheeler's first collegiate homerun in his five-year career (4 at WPU, 1 at MU).
- The Monarchs added on two additional runs while the Pacers score one final run before the conclusion of the game.

- Hill may have given up 13 hits on the day but he went the distance for a complete game effort. He also allowed three runs, struck out seven, and walked two, while improving to 5-0 on the season.
