FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist's women's tennis continued their winning streak after beating Southern Virginia University by a 6-3 decision, in USA South Athletic Conference play, on Saturday afternoon at the Gene Clayton Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights started the day off by taking two of three doubles flights. The lone Monarch win in doubles came from the number 3 pair of Megan Kidd & Valeria Matute by defeating Morgan Bean & Alyssa Sewell 8-3.
- Methodist would come back and take five out of the six single flights to secure the home victory. Sharing identical scores were Matute and Jill Lawrence, as the two of them won their matches by scores of 6-4 and 6-3.
- Just like her doubles partner, Kidd was also victorious in her No. 3 singles by taking down Cambell Bueler 6-3, 6-1. Toni Laney was pitted against Annalise Schetsselaar in the No. 2s, where Laney won by scores of 6-1 & 6-4.
- In No. 6 singles, saw Veva Willocks versus Morgan Bean with Bean taking set one 6-4 but that did not stop Willocks from coming back and winning the last two sets 6-4, 6-1. Southern Virginia's lone singles victory came with Paula Snelson beating Abby Caddick by scores of 6-2 & 6-1.
