FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist made quick work against Pfeiffer University Wednesday afternoon in a USA South Athletic Conference women's tennis match, downing the Falcons, 9-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Monarchs surrendered just two games during their sweep of the doubles matches.
- The No. 2 tandem of Toni Laney and Jill Lawrence posted an 8-1 win to give the Monarchs their first point, followed soon after by the second point from the No. 1 teaming of Abby Caddick and Kamdyn Balko. The 3s, Megan Kidd and Valeria Matute defeated Pfeiffer's Brittany Mills and Darby Sherrill by a score of 8-4, giving the Methodist a clean sweep in the doubles.
- Laney won at No. 2, 6-1 and 6-0, with Caddick posting the exact same score right after at No. 1.
- Kidd scored the best score on the score card, destroying her sets, 6-0 and 6-0, tallying the Monarchs eighth point for the day.
- As for the No. 5 and No. 6, Alex Pratt and Matute both finished with even scores, 6-1 and 6-1 as Matute ended her match to give Methodist the 9-0 victory.
