GREENSBORO, N.C. Methodist women's lacrosse controlled their USA South Athletic Conference game against Greensboro College from start to finish. On Wednesday, the Monarchs beat the Pride 21-3 on the road at Pride Field.
This was Methodist's third contest in a row that they have tallied 20 or more goals. In this stretch they have outscored their opponents 64 to 22.

HOW IT HAPPENED.
- Senior Alaijah Ward of the Monarchs got the scoring going with a goal 38 seconds into the start. After another goal by Methodist, Greensboro netted their first score of the game to make it 2-1.
- That would be the closest score the Pride got for the remainder of the contest, as the Monarchs finished the first quarter on an 8-1 run.
- Five different Methodist players went on to register a goal to increase the Monarch lead to 15-2. Before halftime Greensboro was able to get one more ball past the goalie.
- In the second half, Methodist scored six more goals while shutting out the Pride in the final 30 minutes.

- Winning draw controls usually sets your team up for success and that was true today for the Monarchs. Out 28 total DCs, Methodist won 19 of them with eight of those coming from Tia Marlinghaus
- Leading the way for the Monarchs in goals was Keegan Foyles and Mikayla Ramos with four apiece.
