HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Monarchs started the afternoon by claiming all three double matches, one by default due to lack of numbers.
- This would also affected single flights as the Pacers also had to forgo No. 6 singles. Megan Kidd, Valeria Matute, and Hannah Higgins all won their individual matches in straight sets of 6-0. This was an excellent day for Matute as she swept her opponent in not only singles but also doubles with Veva Willocks.
- Toni Laney was victorious in No. 1 singles after beating Camryn Straughn 6-0, 6-1. William Peace's lone win came in No. 2 singles as Hayley McNair was able to fight off Jill Lawrence.
- McNair won a close first set 7-6 before Lawrence stormed back 6-1 in the next. The two were forced to head to a super tiebreaker where McNair was able to prevail 10-8.
