HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Chowan got the game started by recording the first two goals before Mikayla Ramos registered the first score for Methodist. A goal by Grace Taylor got the Hawks back up to a two goal advantage, midway through the quarter.
  • From the six minute mark in the first to the 12 minute mark of the second period, five different Monarchs had a hand in tallying a goal to give them a 6-3 lead. In the remaining time before the half, Methodist outscored Chowan seven to two for an eight-goal difference, 13-5.
