FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. For the third time in the last four games, the Methodist women's lacrosse team scored 24 goals in route to victory – this time defeating William Peace University. The Monarchs held the Pacers to just two scores during the win on Wednesday.

Mikayla Ramos recorded her 100th collegiate goal, becoming the 11th player in program history to accomplish the feat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Methodist wasted no time in getting ahead of William Peace, as Maddie Hagler and Mikayla Ramos each found the back of the net within the first 35 seconds of gameplay. The Monarchs let their guard down briefly, allowing the Pacers to score the next goal, but bounced back with a seven-goal scoring streak – three for Tia Marlinghaus, two for Keegan Foyles, one for Ainsley McGinn, and one for Ramos – to take a 9-1 advantage.
- The Monarchs conceded a second score to the Pacers before Ramos and Alex Shoffler scored twice each for the final four goals of the first period, giving Methodist a 13-2 lead. Foyles got the second-quarter scoring started off, followed by Hagler who pounded in the next two goals. Rounding out the period, Kennedy Martin recorded back-to-back scores, granting the Monarchs an 18-2 halftime advantage.
- Slowing the offense down in the second half, Methodist added just four goals in the third quarter. Ramos was first to score less than a minute and a half into the period, followed by Macey Blackburn just over two minutes later. Foyles was the third goal scorer of the period, with Marlinghaus rounding out the group with a goal in the final minute of the quarter.
- In the fourth period, Foyles found the back of the net for her fifth score of the contest, connecting with Kayla Nee who dished out a game-high 10 assists. Ramos put the Monarchs up by 22 with one last score before the final 4:30 expired off the clock.

- Tia Marlinghaus notched a career-high 12 draw controls, placing her one away from the 100 mark. She also recorded a career-high four goals.
- Keegan Foyles scored a season-high five goals while also recording two caused turnovers and one ground ball.
- William Peace was scoreless in the second, third and fourth periods. The Monarchs held the Pacers to zero shots in the second quarter, one shot in the third, and two shots in the fourth. William Peace took just seven shots over the entire contest compared to Methodist's 38.
