FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist University women's tennis team wrapped up the regular season with a home match versus Mary Baldwin University, in USA South Athletic Conference play, on Friday afternoon. The Monarchs improve to 8-1 in league action following a 9-0 win over the Fighting Squirrels at the Gene Clayton Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- On court two, the team of Kamdyn Balko & Luciana Forma shutout their opponents, 8-0, to give Methodist a 1-0 advantage in the team match score. Veva Willocks & Sydney Bird added another victory for the Monarchs, in number three doubles, with an 8-2 decision over their counterparts.
- Megan Kidd & Valeria Matute finished off the Methodist doubles sweep, 3-0, with their 8-1 win in No. 1 doubles.
- The trio of Kidd (No. 1 singles), Balko (No. 3), and Bird (No. 4) were all victorious in their respective flights by same set scores of 6-0, 6-1.
- With final set scores of 6-3, 6-0, Matute, Erin Mines, and Milana Lewis also claimed wins for the Monarchs and to complete the sweep of Mary Baldwin.
