HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the 14th minutes of the match, Olivia Santos put Guilford up 1-0. Santos was charging toward the net when she received the ball from her teammate Lily Brown before knocking it into the net.
- The score stayed 1-0 following the first 45 minutes but then the Quakers doubled their score just a minute into the second half. Brown challenged a Methodist defender that was getting the ball. She then not only took the ball away from the defender but also snuck the ball past the charging Monarch goalie for the score.
- Methodist only goal of the game came off the foot of Yaneli Sanchez in the 85th minute. On the right ride of the field, Corrine Shovlain passed the ball to Amanda DeDomenico and once DeDomenico settled it she sent the ball into the box. Sanchez then surprised Guilford's defender & goalie by out hustling the defender to the ball and getting the Monarchs on the board.

- Possession favored the Quakers based on the number of corner kicks, eight to four, but it was Methodist that generated more shots, 11 to eight, throughout the contest.
