FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. It was an evenly quiet match for Methodist and the visiting Wildcats of Randolph College on Sunday afternoon as neither team found much to celebrate on offense. The Monarchs put four shots on goal compared to Randolph's two, but both teams went scoreless in the 0-0 tie.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Wildcats fired first, attempting a shot in the opening seconds of the contest that was blocked by a Methodist defender. The Randolph squad took six shots in the first half compared to Methodist's four, but the Monarchs saw more set-piece opportunities with six corner kicks, though they were unable to capitalize with a goal.
- Methodist out-shot the Wildcats in the second half, attempting six shots to Randolph's three. The visitors had a chance to take the lead in the 80th minute, punting a long pass from midfield towards the box. The recipient of the pass gathered the ball, turned up field and fired, but Methodist goalkeeper Trey Gohr swiftly dove to his left to record the save.
- Methodist's Matthew Manzano responded with a shot on the other end of the field in the 81st minute, but Randolph's Carter Kelly made the save. Neither team would place another shot on goal for the remainder of the match.
