HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first match, Methodist took 3-0 lead after all double flights were completed.
- A default singles win gave the Monarchs a 4-0 advantage before freshman Harry Crockam picked up his first collegiate, and clinched the match for Methodist, by defeating Ben Fleming of William Peace 6-0, 6-1.
- The final win for the Monarchs against the Pacers came on court three when Cameron Roth captured a close 6-4, 6-3 victory over Angel Araiza.
- Versus the Bobcats, it did not go the same for Methodist in doubles compared to their earlier match. In three highly competitive flights, the Monarchs only managed to get one win.
- Flight one saw the duo of Matthew Hurley and Crockam from Methodist beat the Lees-McRae combo of Andrew Kunaka and Andy Tallafigo, 8-5.
- Singles did not fare better for the Monarchs as they fell in five of the six matches. Methodist freshman Decklan Rayner claimed the lone win in a three set flight against the Bobcats' Hoskins Hudson. Rayner took set one 7-6 (7-5) followed by Hudson taking the second set 6-2.
