WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. Competing in the inaugural USA South Indoor Championships, members of the Methodist track & field teams delivered numerous all-conference performances on Friday. Collectively, the men finished third out of six teams, while the women placed fifth out of seven teams.

TRACK EVENTS
- In the men's 60-meter dash, Tydrick Stewart set the top time in prelims before finishing first in the final with a time of 7.06.
- Speeding to the finish line in 52.19 seconds, Torrey Williams earned second place in the men's 400-meter dash.
- In the men's 200-meter dash, Jahmare Generlette placed third as he recorded a time of 23.41, edging out fourth place by .08 seconds.
- In the men's 800-meter run, Alex Topoly won the first heat with a time of 2:01.72 – just .03 seconds faster than the next-best time. In the second heat, Austin Ezzell nosed out the competition to take first overall with a time of 1:59.82. Topoly's time earned him bronze in the event.
- Topoly earned another medal in the men's mile run, finishing third with a time of 4:34.74.
- The Methodist men earned gold in both the distance medley relay and the 4x400-meter relay. In the DMR, Austin Ezzell, Alex Topoly, Logan Williams and Torrey Williams put together a time of 10:48.03. Ezzell, Topoly and Torrey Williams were joined by Joshua Antoine in the 4x400, where the group sailed past the other schools for a time of 3:31.58
- The Methodist women took third in their 4x400-meter relay as Quierra Hawkins, Patti Busch, Katena Morrison and Treazure Rosario Watson narrowly placed behind Pfeiffer, finishing less than a second after the Falcons.
FIELD EVENTS
- In the men's high jump, Komla Akogo leaped to a second-place finish with a best mark of 1.85 meters.
- In the women's long jump, Brandi Gardner dominated the competition, jumping 5.22 meters – the only competitor to top five meters.
- In the men's triple jump, Jeremiah Freeman out-jumped his competitors, recording a best distance of 12.98 meters.

Methodist will shift to the outdoor track & field season, where the Monarchs will first compete on March 1 and 2 at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational in Wilmington.
