FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist University men's tennis played its last non-conference match of 2024 as the Monarchs hosted the Panthers of Ferrum College. Methodist took care of business and won 7-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Winning 8-1 in doubles play were the Monarchs pairs of Matthew Hurley and Crokam (No. 1) & Drew Guarnieri and Decklan Rayner (No. 2). In No. 3 doubles, the Methodist duo of Cameron Roth and Christian Tihanovich swept their counterparts 8-0.
- Rayner and Tihanovich, both of which are freshman, also produced sweeps (6-0, 6-0) in their single flights, on courts two and four respectively.
- For the first time in his young career, Crokam played in No. 1 singles and won 6-3, 6-3. Roth was the final Monarch to be victorious in singles action, court three, with a 6-1, 6-0 win.
- Falling 4-6, 4-6 in No. 5 singles was Royce South, while William Johnston lost 3-6, 4-6 on court six.

Methodist will conclude the regular season on Saturday with a trip to fellow USA South member Mary Baldwin University. The match is set to begin at 1 PM.
