STAUNTON, Va. Methodist University women's tennis traveled to Mary Baldwin University to wrap up the regular season on Saturday, April 20. The Monarchs easily swept the Fighting Squirrels 9-0 for the match victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Methodist won all three double flights, even though only two of the matches were played as the Monarchs took court three by default. In No. 1 doubles, the Methodist pair of Emma Hulicki and Veva Willocks won 8-1, while the tag team of Caitlin Tihanovich and Katie Sechrist picked up an 8-2 win, on court two.
- The Monarchs would also claim a default victory in one of their single flights.
- Winning 6-0, 6-0 in No. 5 singles was Wilette Rivera Morales, for the only sweep in the individual flights. Dropping one game each in their respective matches were Hulicki (6-1, 6-0) and Willock (6-0, 6-1), on courts one and three.
- In No. 4 singles, Sechrist took the first set 6-0 and then won the second set 6-4. Tihanovich played in closest singles match as she was victorious 6-2, 6-3.
