MISENHEIMER, N.C. No. 4 seed Methodist University men's lacrosse faced top seed, and host, Pfeiffer University on Thursday in the semifinals of the 2024 USA South Men's Lacrosse Tournament. After a tight first half battle, the Falcons took full control and limited the Monarchs to just one goal, on their way to a 20-6 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Getting on the board first was Methodist with senior Jesse Leyble giving his team the early 1-0 lead. Pfeiffer registered the next two goals before senior Nate Moore had the next Monarch score to evened up the game. By the time the opening quarter came to an end, the Falcons were able to push through one more goal to take a 3-2 advantage.
- The second period began with each team trading goals, then scores by senior Patrick Rowell and Leyble put Methodist back in front by one, 5-4. Pfeiffer was still able to take a 7-5 advantage into halftime after recording the next three goals.
- In the second half, the Monarchs were held scoreless in third frame before senior Mark Chatt tallied the final Methodist goal of 2024, in the fourth. The Falcons went on to score 13 goals during the last 30 minutes, seven in third & six in the fourth.
