FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.  Methodist University head women's soccer coach Bryan Madej has announced the team's 2024 schedule. This year's fall slate features 16 contests, seven non-conference opponents, and nine USA South Athletic Conference foes.
 
The season starts on a Sunday, Sept. 1, with a road matchup against Eastern Mennonite University. The Monarchs will be off until the following weekend, Sept. 7 – 8, as the team heads up to Maryland to participate in the Salisbury University Classic. On that Saturday, Methodist squares off with the Sea Gulls, the host, before taking on St. Mary's College of Maryland the next day, Sunday.
 
After a 10-day layoff, the Monarchs play their first game inside the Nancy and Murray Duggins Soccer Stadium, against Guilford College on Sept. 18. A few days later, on Sept. 21, Methodist takes its first visit to the state of Virginia to face the University of Mary Washington.
 
The Monarchs return to their home pitch on Sept. 24 to begin USA South action, as the team welcomes Greensboro College to Fayetteville. Methodist wraps up the first month of play with a trip to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to take on Salem College.
 
To start the new month, October, the Monarchs find themselves on the road as the team heads to the western part of North Carolina to play Brevard College, on the 5th. Methodist then enters a three-game stretch of home matches versus Meredith College (10/8), Southern Virginia University (10/12), and Warren Wilson College (10/13).
 
A visit to Pfeiffer University on Oct. 16 is right before a home contest against Mary Baldwin University on Oct. 19, which will also be the Monarchs' senior day. A road trip to the Old Dominion state again, on Oct. 22, sees Methodist playing former conference rival Christopher Newport University, preseason ranked 5th by the United Soccer Coaches.
 
The Monarchs have their last regular season away match on Oct. 26, against William Peace University. Methodist concludes the regular season on its home pitch as the team versus N.C. Wesleyan University. These two teams will play each other for the 54th time in their respective program histories.
 
The 2024 USA South Women's Soccer Tournament will kick off on Nov. 2 with the first round matchups. Then the semifinals will take place on Nov. 6 followed by the championship game on Nov. 9.
