FREDERICKSBURG, Va. Methodist University women's soccer visited the University of Mary Washington on Saturday afternoon for a non-conference contest. After keeping the score close in the first half, the Monarchs could not stop the Eagles' offense as UMW scored five second half goals in its 7-0 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mary Washington goals by Reagan Boyer, 14th minute, and Madison Bauserman, 27th minute, were only two scores Methodist conceded in the first half.
- A little over three minutes into the start of the second period, Autumn Hottle became the third Eagles goal-scorer of the match. Then within a two-minute span, Boyer (52nd) and Maci Landel (54th) added two more goals for Mary Washington.
- The final two Eagle scores were headers by Skye Lawhun and Emily Box, in the 64th and 71st minute, respectively.
NUMBERS
- UMW controlled the game completely as the Eagles' offense took 27 shots, 18 on net, while their defense did not allow the Monarchs to register a single shot.
- Junior goalkeeper Kaylea Carter played the entire match and made 11 saves, a new career-high.
