Allye Carter delivered in the clutch on Saturday afternoon, scoring the game-winning goal in the final minutes to lift the Methodist women's soccer team to a 2–1 USA South victory over Mary Baldwin University at SMA Worth Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The host Fighting Squirrels struck first in the 14th minute, as Mackenzie Shores found the back of the net off an assist from Molly Ludwig, putting Mary Baldwin up 1–0.
- Methodist responded just before halftime when senior Kate Herndon scored her first collegiate goal in the 43rd minute, evening the match at 1–1 heading into the break.
- The second half featured strong defensive play from both sides, with limited offensive chances until the final stretch. In the 80th minute, both teams had quality scoring opportunities –– Mary Baldwin on a free kick just outside the box, and Methodist on consecutive corner kicks that nearly found their mark.
- With time winding down, the Monarchs finally broke through in the 88th minute. After a loose ball bounced around the top of the 18-yard box, freshman Gabby Riemer gained control and sent a pass out wide to Carter, who chipped a perfect shot into the top right corner of the goal to give Methodist the decisive 2–1 lead.
