WILSON, N.C. Taking on Division II opponent Barton College, the Methodist women's tennis team was challenged on Thursday, suffering defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Barton won all three doubles matches, collecting the doubles point. The Emma Hulicki/Caitlin Tihanovich duo on court No. 1 and the duo of Veva Willocks/Madelyn Parker on court No. 3 both fell by a competitive score of 6–3.
- The Monarchs were also swept in singles action. Annabelle Subirats (No. 2) and Katie Sechrist (No. 5) were each able to win two games. Hulicki (No. 1), Willocks (No. 4) and Parker (No. 6) all captured one game each to avoid set sweeps.
