HOW IT HAPPENED
- Pfeiffer quickly won court two, 6-1, to begins doubles play, but then the tandem of Emma Hulicki and Caitlin Tihanovich claimed a 6-2 victory, in the battle between No. 1s, to give Methodist a chance to still win the doubles point.
- On court three, the Monarchs duo of Veva Willocks and Madelyn Parker were playing the Falcons' pair of Haley Ingenito and Alison Sloop. The flight came down to the last few points as Ingenito and Sloop defeated Willocks and Parker 7-5, putting Pfeiffer up 1–0 in the overall match.
- After the Falcons got the victories in No. 5 & 6 singles, Annabelle Subirats picked up the lone Methodist win, against Sydney Cohen (6-4, 6-1) on court two.
- During their respective flights, Hulicki and Tihanovich each had to play a super tiebreaker round to determine the victor. In both cases, they each came up short as Hulicki lost 7-5, 6-7 (4-7), 0-1 (5-10), while Tihanovich fell 2-6, 6-3, 0-1 (1-10).
