FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Playing its first conference match of the season, the Methodist men's tennis team swept the competition, earning a swift victory over the Fighting Squirrels of Mary Baldwin University on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Methodist claimed the doubles point when the Court 1 duo of Matthew Hurley and Decklan Rayner won 6–0, followed by a 6–0 win for Ethan Carlyle and Cameron Roth on Court 3. Wills Belser and Harry Crokam finished out the round with a 6–1 win on Court 2.
- Hurley (Court 1), Crokam (2) and Drew Guarnieri (3) all dominated their singles opponents. The trio all swept their first sets 6–0, then captured 6–1 wins in their second sets
- On Court 4, Carlyle took care of business with a pair of 6–0 set victories, while Roth did the same in the fifth singles match.
- Brady Mendler completed the team sweep, collecting the win in the final singles match with sets of 6–3 and 6–2.
