HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 1

- Senior Jackson Deal led off the first inning with a double to the gap and came around to score on a Tristen Melvin, a senior, single. In the second, fellow senior Banks Engle laid down a bunt single and advanced to third after a throwing error and passed ball, eventually scoring on a wild sequence to make it 2–0.
- The Monarchs padded their lead in the third with a Blake Freeman RBI single. The offensive rhythm continued into the fourth as Engle doubled and later scored on a sacrifice bunt by senior Caleb Greene.
- The fifth inning proved decisive as Methodist sent 10 batters to the plate. With the bases loaded and one out, Greene ripped a double down the right field line, clearing the bags and extending the lead to 7–0. Deal followed with his third hit of the game, plating Greene to cap the rally.
- Pfeiffer's lone run came in the seventh, when pinch hitter C. JeanBaptiste launched a solo home run to right field.
- The Monarchs concluded the game in the eighth inning after adding four more runs. Ethan Golemo came off the bench with a pinch-hit two-RBI single up the middle. A few batters later, pinch hitter Austin Williams, a senior, recorded the walk-off hit with a base knock to right, driving in the final two runs.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 2
- The first three innings were quiet on both sides, but Methodist broke through in the fourth. Caleb Greene reached on a fielder's choice before Parker Evans lined an RBI single to center to get the Monarchs on the board. Jackson Deal followed with a base hit to score Greene, giving Methodist a 2–0 edge.
- After being held hitless through four innings, Pfeiffer's offense strung together a pair of hits to tie the game 2–2 in the fifth.
- The Monarchs roared back in the sixth, scoring four runs to reestablish control, 6–2. Deal and Mauger each singled to load the bases for Melvin, who punched a two-run single to center and later came around to score on a sacrifice fly from Blake Freeman.
- Methodist blew the game wide open in the seventh. After a pair of walks and a wild pitch put two runners in scoring position, Mauger ripped a two-run single through the right side. Moments later, Melvin crushed a towering shot over the center field fence that scored three runs and sent the home crowd into a frenzy.
- Freeman followed with a double, and Engle drove him in with an RBI single to push the score to 12–2.
