ROME, Ga. Following an excellent regular–season campaign, Methodist's
Alyssa Rivas has been named to the USA South Softball All–Conference Team, earning second–team honors at the catcher position. Rivas is joined by freshman pitcher
Katlyn Schlink, who represents Methodist on the All–Sportsmanship team.
Rivas, in her junior year, led the Monarchs with a career–high batting average of .398, tallying 41 hits (one more than she amassed last season). She totaled nine doubles and two home runs (both of which came in the final weekend of the regular season). She also recorded a team–leading 31 RBIs.
Versus conference opponents, Rivas batted .412 with an on–base percentage of .456 during that span. It's her second all–conference selection, following her first–team nod in 2024.
